Wadi Araba is located in the south of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and covers an area of ​​2000 km2. It extends from the Ghuwaiba area in the north to the Aqaba economic zone in the south, and from the international border in the west to an altitude of 500 m above sea level in the east. The area consists of six population centers, and the current population density is five individuals per km2 and the population is 10,000 citizens. These population centers consist of three municipal councils: Rahma and Qatar, the Wadi Araba municipality and include the towns of Risha and Bir Mathkour, and the municipality of Quraygara and Vinan. Wadi Araba has a mild climate in winter and hot in summer.
